How do I change my AD password?

To change the password for your computer, the IOD Help Desk, and most UNH Services (Blackboard, Email, Webcat, etc...), please visit this link and follow the directions below:

  1. Connect to the UNH Network via hardwire, UNH-Secure, IOD-Staff, or via the UNH VPN
  2. Visit the UNH Accounts Management System (opens new window), enter your username and password, and click on the Change Your Password link, and follow the instructions
  3. After you have changed your password, lock your computer by pressing the Windows + L keys, and then re-entering your new password at the login screen. Do not sign off, restart, or shut down your computer until you have done this step.

Important Notes

If you are unable to reset your password (for example, because UNH IT does not have a security question for you on file), you must call the UNH Help Desk at 603-862-4242 and they will walk you through the process.
